Forex Blogs

It seems that everyone has a blog these days.  The team at The Forex Village have searhed the web for the best forex and trading related blogs.  Some are written by professional forex traders, others by  economists and journalists.  Here are some of our favourites:

Ed Mamula

Ed's a forex trader who has spent the past few years developing a mechanical system to trade the GBP/USD and EUR/USD currency pairs.  His posts are insightful, and he offers useful information on how to develop a trading system, and utilise good money management.  This blog is a must read for all novice forex traders who want to get off on the right foot, and for all other forex traders who got off on the wrong foot, and need a few useful pointers (and I‘m sure that I'm not the only trader in this category!) Go read his blog here.

Peak Oil.com

This is a great site for those interested in trading oil and in commodities trading generally.  The idea of ‘Peak Oil' is the state of maximum oil production vs oil discoveries.  Most experts and commentators believe it is not a question of ‘if' but a question of ‘when we reach this point.  Not strictly a blog, Peak Oil has some really bright, intelligent people sharing their knowledge of the oil industry from a variety of perspectives - from oil traders to economists to environmentalists.

For an invaluable take on oil trading, check out the threads started by ‘Mr Bill'.  In real life, Mr Bill is a commodities trader whose knowledge and understanding of macroeconomics, as well as technical analysis, is perhaps second to none.   His posts are insightful, and his analysis on the state of the markets a ‘must read'.  Check out Peak Oil, and Mr Bill's take on the oil market, by clicking here

Rob Booker

Rob is a great guy and a really great forex trader and mentor.  There's a whole bunch of really interesting stuff on his website, and there's some great forex ebooks to download for free.  The only drawback is that he has recently had a tendency of wasting time promoting naff websites run by his buddies, but if you can get past that, then there's a goldmine of info on his site.  Well worth a look.  Check out Rob's blog here

The Curious Capitalist

The Curious Capitalist, aka Justin Fox has a really interesting, easy to read, and often light hearted take on the economic and business issues of the day. He writes for Time, and you can read Justin's blog here.

Trader Mike

Trader Mike is a US based equities day trader.  His blog contains lots of useful information on intra-day trading, developing a trading strategy and money management - read his blog here.

The Forex Affiliate

Now here's a blog which takes a different perspective of the forex market - from that of a successful internet marketer.  This blog will tell you anything and everything you ever wanted to know about setting up your own forex website - check out the Forex Affiliate by clicking here.

Soul Trader

Soul trader is a UK based professional forex trader who, you might have already guessed, is also a big soul music fan.  He is one of the few traders out there whose blogs are brutally honest.  He's taken a number of hits along his journey to becoming an independent forex trader, and is not shy about sharing his experiences.  When I read some of his posts, I learnt a lot about my own trading, and that learning to roll with the punches, and dealing with losses is an invaluable part of trading.  This blog is definitely worth a read, especially for traders who are feeling low after a string of losing trades - check out Soul Trader's blog here.

Simon Super Trader

Simon writes an insightful and often funny blog about the trials and tribulations of trading.  He stresses the importance of psychology in trading, and his posts are always interesting.  He's a down to earth guy, and if ever I'm down in Australia, he's the kind of guy I'd hang out with and chat to over a beer. Check him out here.

Currency Trading.net

This blog is a really great source of forex information.  There's information and articles here that you don't find on most forex blogs or websites, and I'm a big fan of this site.  Take a look and see what you think - take a look here.

Fistful of Euros

For the longer term traders amongst you, and those with an interest in macroeconomics, there are some great insights into the European economy on Fistful of Euros.  The purpose of Fistful of Euros, according to them, is ‘to provide a venue for informed commentary on European economics, politics and culture from a pan-European perspective.  We are writing about important developments from NATO to UEFA, from the EU to Eurovision'.  Well worth heading over to Fistful of Euros to have a look.

Alan's Money Blog

Alan's blog shows you how to make money online - from forex, from stocks, from real estate - if you want to make money, you need to read this blog .
